Every imaginable specification of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6 has been leaked

Samsung can’t stop leaks! A week ahead of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked launch event, the specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 have been leaked in detail. And this leak reveals some exciting things about the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s display and the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s battery and performance.

There’s also something really exciting about the durability of both phones.

Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6 Specifications

Legendary leaker Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) has leaked marketing images of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 via his Substack newsletter. Leaked images reveal that both phones use Armor Aluminum material for their frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for the lid display. Samsung was expected to use a titanium frame for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

More importantly, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 are IP48 rated for dust and water resistance. While it’s not as good as the IP68 rating for high-end bar-style phones, it’s still a big improvement from the IPX8 rating typically seen on foldable phones.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 uses the same screen sizes – a 3.4-inch cover display and a 6.7-inch foldable display – as its predecessor. The 3.4-inch OLED display maintains a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels and operates at 60 Hz, while the 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display has Full HD+ resolution and a variable refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with HD+ resolution and a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with QXGA+ resolution. Both screens have a variable refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of up to 2600 nits. This matches the displays on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Both phones use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 may also be available in a 1TB storage variant. Both phones run One UI 6.1.1 software based on Android 14. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a vapor chamber system for more efficient cooling, which is a first in a Galaxy Z Flip series phone.

Both phones also have Galaxy AI, so you can use features like Search Circle, Performer Mode and Note Summary. But we can’t spot any new Galaxy AI features that were rumored earlier. The Chat Assist feature appears to have been improved and optimized for the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s flip screen, making it easier to reply to messages through context-sensitive responses suggested by Galaxy AI.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP selfie camera. It can record 4K 60 fps video using all its cameras.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera (3x optical zoom), a 10MP front-facing camera on the lid display, and a 4MP front-facing camera on the inner display. It can record 4K 60fps video using all of its cameras, just like the Galaxy Z Flip 6, but it can also record 8K 30fps video and 4K 120fps slow-motion video using the main camera.

Despite its 4,000mAh battery, an upgrade over the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s 3,700mAh battery, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is thinner than its predecessor. It measures 85.1 × 71.9 × 14.9mm and weighs 187g (same as the Z Flip 5).

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 measures 155.5 x 152.6 x 5.6 mm when unfolded and 85.1 x 71.9 x 14.9 mm when closed. It weighs 239g, 14g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Similar to its predecessor, it has a 4,400mAh battery. Full specifications of both phones are posted below.

Both phones have a side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, dual-SIM card slots, GPS, 5G (sub-6GHz), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. Type-C. However, only the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has Samsung DeX.

Samsung claims the Galaxy Z Flip 6 lasts up to 20 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing (19 hours on LTE), 23 hours of video playback and 68 hours of wireless audio playback. These figures are significantly better than the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is claimed to last up to 18 hours of web browsing, 23 hours of video playback and 77 hours of wireless audio playback. These figures are only slightly better than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The charging speed is not revealed in these images.
